Our Process
1. Load Assessment
We inspect your meter base, mast, service conductors, panel and grounding, then calculate your load, including anything you plan to add, so the new service is sized right the first time.
2. Written Quote
You get an itemized quote: meter base, conductors, mast or weatherhead work, panel work if needed, permit and utility coordination.
3. Permit & Utility Scheduling
We pull the permit and schedule the disconnect and reconnect with your utility, Ameren Missouri or, in parts of St. Charles County, Cuivre River Electric Cooperative.
4. Installation
With the power off, we replace the service entrance equipment and terminate it at the panel. Most services are completed in one day.
5. Inspection & Reconnect
After the inspection passes, the utility sets the meter and restores power. We test every circuit before we leave.

Common questions about electrical service upgrades
What is the difference between a service upgrade and a panel upgrade?
The panel distributes power to your circuits. The service is everything that brings power to the panel: the weatherhead, mast, service entrance conductors and meter base. Going from 100 to 200 amps usually means upgrading both.
Do I need a new meter base?
Often, yes. A 100-amp meter base can't support 200-amp service. If yours is undersized, damaged or doesn't meet current utility requirements, replacement is part of the quote.
Will the utility replace my meter?
Yes. The utility provides and installs the meter after we complete the meter base upgrade and pass inspection.
Can I upgrade to 400-amp service?
Yes, for large homes with high demand: all-electric systems, multiple EV chargers, pools, workshops. We confirm with your utility that 400A supply is available at your address.
How long will my power be off?
Most service upgrades are completed in one day. Power is off while the equipment is replaced and until the inspection passes and the utility reconnects.
A storm pulled my service mast off the house. Can you fix it?
Yes. Mast and weatherhead damage is the homeowner's side of the connection. We repair or replace it, get it inspected, and coordinate the reconnect with the utility.
