What We Provide
Why It Matters
Signs You Need This Service
Not sure if you need home network & data wiring? Here are the warning signs to watch for.
WiFi dead zones in home
WiFi can't reach everywhere. Wired access points placed throughout your home eliminate dead zones permanently.
Buffering during video calls
WiFi congestion causes choppy video calls. Wired connections provide consistent bandwidth for reliable video conferencing.
Gaming lag and disconnections
WiFi latency and packet loss ruin online gaming. Wired connections provide the low latency gamers need.
Smart home devices unreliable
Too many devices compete for WiFi bandwidth. Wiring your access points and key devices improves reliability for everything.
Working from home permanently
Your career depends on reliable internet. Wired connections ensure you never drop an important call or miss a deadline.
Multiple 4K streaming devices
Each 4K stream needs 25 Mbps. Multiple simultaneous streams overwhelm WiFi—wired connections handle them easily.
Planning security cameras
Wired PoE cameras are more reliable than WiFi cameras. Install network drops for cameras during initial wiring.
Using powerline adapters
Powerline adapters are a workaround with limited speeds. Proper Cat6 wiring is faster and more reliable.

Our Process
1. Network Planning Session
We discuss your current and future networking needs—home office, streaming locations, gaming setups, security cameras, WiFi access points. We identify every location that needs a network drop and plan the routing.
2. Site Survey
We walk through your home to determine the best cable routing paths using attic space, basement/crawlspace, and wall cavities. We identify the central location for your network equipment (patch panel, switch, router).
3. Detailed Quote
You receive a quote itemizing the number of drops, cable type (Cat6 or Cat6a), patch panel, wall plates, and labor. We include optional equipment recommendations if you need a network rack or switch.
4. Cable Installation
We run Cat6 cables from each drop location back to the central patch panel location. Cables are routed through attic, basement, or wall cavities with proper support and separation from electrical wiring per code.
5. Termination
At each room location, we install a low-voltage bracket, terminate the cable to a keystone jack, and install a wall plate. At the central location, we terminate all cables to a patch panel with consistent color coding.
6. Testing & Certification
Every cable run is tested with a professional cable tester that verifies proper termination, continuity, and performance. We test for wire map errors, length, and can provide certification reports if needed.
7. Labeling & Documentation
All cables are labeled at both ends with a consistent numbering system. We provide a network map showing each drop location and its patch panel port, so you always know what's connected where.
Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions about home network & data wiring
What's the difference between Cat5e, Cat6, and Cat6a?
Cat5e supports up to 1 Gbps, Cat6 supports 10 Gbps at short distances, Cat6a supports 10 Gbps at longer distances. We typically recommend Cat6 for future-proofing.
Can you run cables without opening walls?
In many cases yes, using existing pathways like attics, basements, and conduits. Some wall fishing may be needed.
How many network drops do I need?
At minimum, one per room you want wired. We recommend 2 per home office, plus drops for TV locations and access points.
Can you help improve my WiFi coverage?
Yes. We can install wired access points throughout your home for excellent whole-home WiFi coverage.
Do you work with existing network equipment?
Yes. We can integrate with your existing router/switch or recommend and install new equipment.
Should I use Cat6 or Cat6a?
Cat6 is sufficient for most homes and supports 10Gbps. Cat6a is better for runs over 180 feet or if you want maximum future-proofing.
Can you install a network rack?
Yes. We install wall-mount and floor-standing racks, patch panels, switches, and organize your home network professionally.
Is wired ethernet really better than WiFi?
Yes. Wired connections provide consistent speeds, lower latency for gaming/video calls, and don't compete for WiFi bandwidth. Critical devices should always be wired.
