  • The Role:


    First Choice Electric is seeking an enthusiastic entry-level laborer for a dynamic 1-2 year role with the potential for advancement to Electrician Level 1. In this position, you'll work closely with experienced electricians, gaining hands-on experience in a wide range of electrical tasks. This opportunity is not just a job; it's a pathway to a skilled trade career.

    Career Progression:

    • After 1-2 years, based on performance and skill development, there’s an opportunity for promotion to Electrician Level 1.
    • Continuous learning and development opportunities provided throughout the role.

  • Responsibilities:

    • Assist with Maintenance and Repair: Aid in installing and repairing wiring, electrical fixtures, and power equipment, following electrical codes and safety standards.
    • Support in System Installations: Help in setting up control and distribution apparatus such as motors, relays, switches, and more.
    • Contribute to Facility Upgrades: Assist in the installation and connection of electrical systems in both new and existing facilities.
    • Troubleshooting Support: Participate in diagnosing and resolving electrical issues using various testing instruments and tools.
    • Conduit and Wiring Work: Measure, cut, and install electrical conduit, under supervision, using various tools.
    • Maintenance of Tools and Equipment: Perform preventive maintenance and ensure safe operation of tools.
    • Emergency Response: Be available to respond to urgent electrical issues as needed.

  • Requirements:

    Education/Certification:

    • Valid driver’s license.
    • Willingness to participate in relevant classes for NEC & Safety compliance.

    Skills:

    • Basic understanding of electrical principles.
    • Ability to follow instructions and learn quickly.
    • Proficiency with hand and power tools.

    Experience:

    • Prior experience in the electrical field is beneficial but not essential.
